FAQ
How often do you post new content?
New posts go up every Wednesday on our blog. There is no schedule for
social media posts. Subscribe to our newsletter so you never miss a post!
Can I request a blog topic or ask a question?
Absolutely! I love hearing from my readers whether it's a question,
feedback or request. Click on the contact page at the top of the blog and
submit your question/request via email, and I will respond as soon as
possible. Don't want to use your email? No problem! Feel free to message
me on any of the linked social media platforms that you can find at the
top of the blog and the right side panel.
I'm new at budgeting. Where do I start?
Follow these steps:
- Know your numbers. | Track your income, list your expenses, and review spending habits. A great way to organize this is by getting a budget planner. I have several in my shop. Click on the shop tab at the top of the blog to view them.
- Explore our beginner tutorials covering basics. | We have beginners posts for almost every category. Go to the navigation menu at the top of the blog and click the "Beginners" tabs. These posts will include detailed step by step guides to follow.
- Set financial goals. | Choose a short-term goal (build an emergency fund, pay off debt, stop living paycheck to paycheck). Choose a long-term goal (save for a car, house, retirement, travel, or investing).
- Choose a budgeting method. We have step-by-step guides on this in the budgeting tab. | 50/30/20 Rule: 50% needs, 30% wants, 20% savings/debt. Zero-Based Budget: Every dollar has a job - income minus expenses equals zero. Envelope/Cash Method: Use physical envelopes for spending categories (great if you overspend easily).
- Cut Unnecessary Spending | Cancel unused subscriptions, limit eating out and impulse buys, look for cheaper insurance, phone plans, and other providers.
- Pay Down Debt | Snowball Method: Pay smallest debt first then add that payment amount to the next highest debt. Avalanche Method: Pay highest-interest debt first to save money long term. Tip: Make extra payments whenever possible to reduce interest.
- Keep Learning. Financial stability is a journey, not a destination. | Read personal finance blogs and books. We have many resources on this blog and our social media. Listen to money related podcasts. Follow creators who teach finance in simple terms and change the content you view to keep you in the proper mindset.
Do you make money from this blog?
Yes! This blog may earn income through affiliate links, ads, sponsored posts, or digital products. I only recommend tools and services I trust and have tried for myself. I will never include any resources/apps/websites/products that I have not tried and do not support.
Do you offer personalized financial advice or services?
I share general financial tips and strategies to help you manage your own finances, but I'm currently not a licensed financial advisor. For personalized advice, consider consulting a certified financial planner (CPF). However, I will try to help you and your situation to the best of my knowledge if you submit any questions to me, but I do not offer a professional paid service.
Can I advertise or collab with you?
I offer advertising services and accept relevant collaborators. If you'd like to learn more about these, fill out the contact form on the contact page with your request and I will send you the details. I look forward to working with you!
